Most Megahit movies have the same core story elements: a unique object desired by both a protagonist and an antagonist. Megahit movies always give the audience what they want, but many times in unexpected ways. The audience wants the protagonist to achieve his desired objective, but in an exciting and unpredictable way. They want movies filled with fascinating characters that the audience can care about. They want to see characters triumphing over impossible obstacles and withstanding the agony of defeat, to eventually achieve the dreams that they sought. These movies have happy endings, and leave the audiences with an emotionally satisfying experience that motivates them to tell friends and relatives to see the film, and for them to see it over and over again. How do we conduct business?

Needless to say Megahit Films will assist with the communication task, which is arguably the biggest key to managing investor expectations.

With our fingers on the pulse of today’s movie goers we are helping independent film producers from all over the world achieve their motion picture dreams and business successes. From taglines to distribution we are there.

As soon as an inquiry is made for us to invest or seek an investor or investors in a film, we request the script, the shooting schedule and the budget. We check to see that studio and location arrangements are satisfactory. We check the documents to see that they are in order including the basic story and/or novel, the screenplay and the music. After the movie is given the “green light” by Megahit Films, the contracts are signed and the shooting begins. The filmmaker, once financed, can focus on the creative aspects of filmmaking.

Megahit Films is entirely an independent company with no affiliation. Being truly independent and well financed we are able to advise all parties without any conflict of interest.

Consequently, we are able to act on behalf of the investor/s and the filmmaker.

We maintain a very close relationship with the investor/s, producers, directors and key production personnel. We also make periodic visits to the studio or to the movie location, wherever in the world that it might be. We anticipate successes in the United States, Canada, Australia, Denmark, Italy, France, India, Japan and other countries including Latino markets. (Megahit Films has bilingual English/Spanish speakers on staff right now).

In developing a screenplay, action may be rewritten to conform to budget; in the film and movie finance business, all parties must be protected which is why ethics and integrity are our first priority here at Megahit Films.

What's the financial breakdown?

Filmmakers know that funding the film is the most challenging part of the production process. Yet there are many successful people who would invest in a good film if they were given the opportunity. At Megahit Films we are the film and movie finance solution for the investors and the filmmakers insuring that the dream becomes a reality for all parties. A good indie filmmaker can produce commercial movies at far less than studio rates. Indie producers who can consistently deliver low-cost commercial movies are worth their weight in gold. Megahit Films seeks film investment opportunities that we have identified as feature films that generate audience appeal in the world wide marketplace while offering significant profits for the Filmmaker, the Investor and Megahit Films as follows:

The Investor receives 45% of the profits of the project, the Filmmaker receives 46% of the profits and Megahit Films receives 9% of the profits. The film’s budget will include a 9% fee for Executive Producer, the fund raising costs, commissions and expenses incurred by Megahit Films. The Investor, the Filmmaker and Megahit Films retains ownership of the feature film negative and copyright exploiting all revenue opportunities on behalf of all parties during the lifetime of the project.

As the movie producer all you have to do is give your “pitch” (In Hollywood, the term “pitch” refers to telling a captivating story in less than five minutes to penetrate the cynical veneer of a distracted executive). However our investors are not from Hollywood and are not cynical! We suggest you use a strong hook to capture initial interest (perhaps an intriguing fact, question or brief anecdote).

As the investor all you have to do is make a simple decision and deposit 9% of the budget funds into the Megahit Films account with the balance of the 91% going into producers account for the production. The 9% fees are to be considered a good faith deposit on the picture whereby confirming the green light decision to go ahead with the picture.
